When this shirt arrived in the mail I did a little happy dance. It was the perfect shade of cobalt blue - one that I love and it equally seems to love me. (Not every color returns the love and compliments my skin tone like cobalt does, ahem, I’m looking at you green.) Plus, as many of my friends joke, I have a thing for shirts that have some serious flow power. This one is like wearing a summer cape. It has one thin layer that fits like a normal tank top and that is layered under the cape-like top. It’s fresh and fun and oh-so-summer, even if half the day was sunny and the other half was rainy.
I wore this outfit to a mini blogger meet-up with the always adorable Boston Fashionista and the Seattle-based Jean of all Trades, who happened to be in town vacationing with a friend. I love these little opportunities to get together with other bloggers over drinks. This time our little rendezvous turned into three hours of talking, laughing and sharing. We got caught under the tent at Reef in a huge drenching rainstorm and ended up waiting it out with drinks and some yummy cheese dishes. (I had the grilled cheese and it was superb.)

I love lightweight tops like this… perfect for summer in the office, without going sleeveless. I LOVE the color on you-you’re totally right that it looks great on you!
