This is a Fashionista Event and I was compensated for this post. While I have not personally tried the Ting service, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.
When you come from a large family like mine, your cell phone service is essential to communication and life updates. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t send dozens of text messages and images back and forth. And let’s not even talk about the Snapchats, the Facebook messenger so our brother abroad can be looped in, and all the other apps that help us stay connected.
The only one not part of the group is the littlest guy - the 8th grader. With cellphone service, even with a family plan, being so expensive you have to earn the right to a phone. The problem with that is the little guy often needs it and doesn’t have one. The other day, for instance, he was treating me to FroYo and we had plans to meet at the yogurt shop. But he caught a later bus and couldn’t let me know. I was sitting at the yogurt place worried he got lost along the way. I picked up my phone a hundred times to text or call him, only to remember he’s the only sibling without a phone. He’s living in the dark ages. HA.
But now there is a new service that claims to have a significantly cheaper plan than most of the current big name providers. Meet Ting. Check out those stats above! The average monthly phone bill per device is only $23. I don’t know about you but that is about 1/4 my current monthly bill. Pretty impressive. So, I’m thinking this is a good service to hook the little man up with so he’s not breaking the bank but so that he also has a phone to stay connected with the rest of us.
Want to see if your phone bill can be lowered with Ting mobile? There is a savings calculator on the site that will help you do the math. Need even more incentive? If you are an AT&T user, you can get a $5 Starbucks giftcard just by checking out if Ting would be right for you!! Check to see if your AT&T device will work on Ting. (Limit one $5 Starbucks gift card per email address and per active AT&T device checked.) If you have another carrier your phone may still be eligible to make the switch, but the Starbucks giftcard is just for AT&T users.
