Today is the annual school Tacky Christmas Sweater Party so I’m all about getting in the festive mood with fashion choices. With Christmas songs on the radio for two months and trees up in stores since before Halloween, it’s pretty easy to be excited for Christmas and all the other holidays that fall around the end of the year. From the holiday decorations we put up year after year, to the Christmassy celebrations we all take part in, there is a lot to look forward to. If you are anything like me, you’ve got a little collection of festive fashion pieces that get pulled out this time of year. Full disclosure, I’m wearing a ‘tacky’ Christmas sweater every day this week! Need a few festive fashion ideas? Consider these 5.
More red is always the answer to looking and feeling more in the Christmas mood. Whether it is a bold red lip or a pair of cute red and green socks, little additions can go a long way. I like add-ons like earrings or scarves to look the part. Even some red or green nail polish can go a long way. Psst… right now I’m obsessed with Fly Girl from Lip Sense! It is the perfect holiday red lip.
Get Cute With The Kiddies
Those of you with little ones, getting the kids all bundled up in festive fashions is always a great option. This time of year, it is really easy to find cute looks for your kids or the nieces and nephews, as in my case. You can often find some really cute Christmas outfits for babies, and sweet accessories to go with them such as the Alwaysunderpay baby headbands in a range of shades. And can we talk about how cute it is when a mom and her little one match or coordinate for the holidays?
This year, my family has 4 new puppies, so we are all about making sure they look the part as well. While it can be a bit of a challenge to get them in a tacky Christmas sweater or a festive red bow tie, as my sister tries to do with her Great Dane, it’s totally worth it for the pic! There are lots of different dog holiday outfits that you can consider.
Try Out Matching Outfits
As a kid my mom used to make us all match for the holidays. At the time we hated it, but looking back I have to admit it made for some incredibly cute family pictures. Today, I feel like you can match or coordinate with your kids, spouse, bestie or pet without going over the top matchy-matchy. But you can also find a range of matching family outfits online too!
