Today I’m hosting my first clothing swap back in my hometown! It’s a whirlwind day. I’ll share the whole experience, pictures, etc… this weekend. But in the meantime, it’s Fashion/Beauty Friend Friday and we’re talking about our holiday wishlists. What’s top on yours this year?
To be honest I’ve never been one to make all those lists and have a million things I wanted from Santa. In fact, I usually have a hard time coming up with a list of things I’d like, which suits me fine considering my family doesn’t do many present exchanges. To me, there is more to the season than just the gifts we receive. So, if I’m really reaching and thinking through what I’d like this year, here’s my list:
1. A new camera. I had a Canon Powershot SX 150 and loved that camera. But then it met an untimely death after taking a short jump off my bed. Boo.
2. An iPad. Imagine how much easier blogging would be and tweeting and Facebook and blog reading and…
3. Professional editing/formatting services for my next young adult novel. I spent a good portion of my November crafting my next book and would love someone else to handle all the nitty gritty pieces of making sure the pages are Kindle ready.
And seriously… that’s all I could come up with. What’s on your holiday wish-list??

Hi Katy-How are you doing? If you want a small portable camera the Lumix is a great pocket camera. I love it and if fits in a clutch.

Oh my goodness - I just love that you included the Michael Buble trailer!!! I wanted the CD for Christmas and even though my boyfriend completely hates that kind of music and complains constantly about my taste whenever I put anything like that on - he bought it for me for the holidays, so I can listen to it all throughout December - how cool is that?!!

I’m the opposite. I’ve always been a giant list maker of presents. I used to go shopping with my aunts for my birthday when I was younger and put items on hold. I’d be “surprised” by which items I ended up getting. It worked out well when my sizes changed so much as I grew haha. I loved those trips. An iPad is on my ideal “I wish” list but I made mine more practical this year lol. Great topic!

Get the iPad. It was vastly improve your life. I bought mine back in July and let me tell you, I am so much more productive with it. I can edit photos, blog from it, do research for posts, shop, read books, send emails…all without dragging my laptop everywhere with me. It’s a big ticket purchase but worth every single penny.
My own wish list is kind of eclectic. I’ve never made a list of things I’d like for the holidays before - it was really fun, though I felt a little greedy typing everything out.

I’m with you! Especially now that I have a child, we’re always more focused on her list. I just feel like now that I’m an official Grown Up, if I want it, I can get it for myself.
But it was fun anyway. I can’t wait to see how Santa gets Hugh Jackman down my chimney …

It’s always difficult for me to come up with things for my Christmas list because everything I want is too frivolous. iPads are awesome gadgets, although I don’t think one could replace my beloved computer. I have two cameras on my list. The Leica is definitely a dream camera, but I also want an Instax. I think it’d be cool to get back into film!
