Karmin G3 Hair Dryer Review

One of the hardest things about growing out my curly hair is figuring out how to deal with it in the winter time. During the summer months I wash my hair in the morning and let it air dry. The air drying process allows it to truly curl and it is at its curliest when it can dry naturally. But then the winter time hits and walking around for several hours with wet hair is nearly impossible.

That means I have two options. One - blow dry and straighten my hair every time I wash it, which is an insanely time consuming morning routine. With my thick hair and its growing length this takes at least an hour. UGH! Two - freeze daily while walking around for three hours with wet hair, trying to rearrange my schedule so I can be home in the mornings while it naturally dries. Neither option is really great.

In the past I’ve tried the fancy extensions that can be added to a hair dryer in order to diffuse curly hair. But that never works out well for my hair. It tends to just look frizzy, the curls don’t form right, the look is a little lioness-disaster-like. That was the case until I was sent the Karmin G3 Salon Pro Professional Hair Dryer to review. Voted the best hair dryer of the year this thing really lives up to its name! It comes with two narrow nozzle attachments and a diffuser attachment - one that REALLY works.

The hair dryer uses ceramic heat in order dry while protecting the hair. The hair dryer uses ceramic heat in order dry while protecting the hair. It repels humidity, locks in color, creates shine through the use of negative ions and seals cuticles. This Karmin G3 is pretty crazy technology. It also comes with three-way temperature and two-way speed settings, a carrying case, a very long power cord, cool shot function, instruction manual and a three-year warranty. And it’s on sale at MyHairStylingTools for $159.

When drying my hair to straighten it, the blow dryer is also pretty amazing. I need to use the flat iron a lot less since my hair is smoother and less frizzy. Pretty cool for a hair dryer.

Absolutely amazing hair dryer. A lot of people say it’s expensive, but since they invest in low priced hair dryers they have to replace it in a year at most.
