Summer’s Must-Have Shoe Trends

Even if the weather in Milwaukee is not cooperating with the supposed Spring, I am still eagerly awaiting the summer season and all the fun shoes that are a part of that! What shoe trends are you loving this season and how will you be styling your latest footwear?

There is something about these Rebels Nadia Flats that just beg to be worn all day. They can be dressed up or dressed down and would work for a day of touring a new city, or hitting up the local coffee shop with friends.

The Sporty Chic Sneakers

Forget the idea of wearing your over-sized running shoes out of the house for anything other than running. Now there are so many style of adorable fashion-focused sneakers that can be worn with dresses, pants, shorts, etc… I love these Steve Madden animal print shoes as well as the polka dot design of the Roxy shoes.

The Chunky Heel

Jeweled Beach Wear

Who says cheap plastic flip flops are the only appropriate footwear for the beach? Personally, these days I’m liking the simple jeweled sandals, like these Zigi Soho Frills Flat Sandals. Subtle, easy to slip on and off, but still with a chic twist that can take you directly from the beach to dinner out with friends.

All these shoes are from DSW, and they are only a smattering of the options available. I updated my collection with similar styles and can’t wait to try them out in all sort of outfit combinations. I also LOVE shopping DSW because with my large feet, (size 11 - gasp) it is easy to find shoes in that size because of the helpful sticker they put on the box of size 11 shoes. So many department stores do not carry 11s in stock, which means I am stuck buying online and then returning, which is not ideal.
