In my 20s I never understood the women who had a closet full of beauty products or took more than a couple minutes to get ready in the morning or jump into bed at night. What in the world were they doing so that getting ready took an hour? Why couldn’t they be in bed 15 minutes after they made up their mind to go to bed? And then my 30s happened, and I realized proper skincare takes time and effort.
While I can still be under the covers in 15 minutes from the time I make my mind up to get to bed, I have a few more steps in the process than I had earlier in life. I’m now dedicated to washing my face every morning and evening, in order to prevent early signs of aging. But cleansing is not enough. I also need to make sure my skin, especially on my face and neck, gets the moisture it needs. To get this done the newest item in my morning and evening skin routine is the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
It’s difficult to put into words the difference this cream has made, even in the first couple days of use, but from day one my face glowed and my skin looked less tired. The cream works to moisturize and plump the skin in order to fight the signs of age - and it does that job epically well. But don’t just take my word for it. In an independent study conducted by the Good Housekeeping Institute, the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream outperformed 10 top creams, including one that with a $440 retail value! At $26.99 this is a steal for the effects it immediately gives. If you still need more convincing, check out the thousands and thousands of positive reviews on the Olay site.
My skin easily looks oily and greasy in the summer months, which means a number of hydrating products cause me to break out like a hormonal teenager or for my face to feel heavy with product. The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream doesn’t cause me to break out and it is light enough that I feel it on my face without the feeling of being weighed down by it. The use of this cream also made me reach less for my makeup. As you can see from the picture above, I still apply eye makeup - eyeshadow, liner, mascara - but I haven’t used blush or concealer at all this week. I haven’t felt like I needed it at all, and since no one has commented that I look tired or unwell, I must not be needing the makeup. I will say this product does make my face shine more than I prefer, giving my face that constant dewy look.
Since this works so well in the humid, sweat-filled summer, I’m looking forward to seeing how it helps in the winter months when my skin tends to be pretty dry. I’m sure it will do wonders to fight the effects of a Chicago winter.

My nana used Olay for years..actually just smelling it reminds me of her.
I actually haven’t seen this product in stores yet but it looks like something I am going to have to try for sure.

I just saw it pop up on the Walgreens and CVS shelves.
I love how you went into detail about how it feels on your skin. I am always worried about moisturizers on my combination skin especially since I live in super humid East Texas. I might have to go pick this up soon.
I was impressed it didn’t make me break out, even after days of use. Hope you love it.
Hahaha. I used to feel the same way too. Now I’m that person and this is great. I love it 💕😉
Yes! I love that cream. I have a jar in my stash right now in fact! Great product!
Looks like a product that I have to try. I’m close to my 30’s and need to start taking care of my skin.
My mum used Olay when I was a little girl and everytime I see it, it reminds me of her and how I would sit at her dressing table dabbing it on my cheeks! Maybe it’s time for me to get my own jar!
I’m a shocker with skincare! I use baby wipes, sorbolene & sunscreen in the morning. At night, I was my face in the shower with home-made (hubby-made) soap, and moisturise with sorbolene. Unless I’m a bit dry, then I use olive oil. To exfoliate, I use a facewasher. This hasn’t changed in almost 10 years - I keep thinking I need to change it up, but then I thing, ‘But it’s working.’ So I stick with it. But then posts like this tempt me……..
I was raised on ‘Look after your skin’ - Nan (Mum’s mother) was fanatical, and had beautiful skin; she used Olay (although back then in Australia it was Ulan). The other big thing (at least in Australia) is wearing a hat and sunglasses. A hat in summer, and sunglasses year round. I also wear sunscreen 365. I suspect that, as much as anything, has kept my skin in reasonable condition. That and damn good genes. I’m - less than 5 years from 50, but look younger than my 5 years younger sister, who has only recently come to the ‘skincare is good’ idea.
So impressive!! I don’t ever remember my mom teaching me how to take care of my skin and since I didn’t really have acne as a teenager I never thought much about it, until I started seeing signs of aging and thought I better get serious now.
