For Black Friday, I did something a little less traditional. I met my three sisters and a cousin in Chicago and we spent the morning shopping, laughing and soaking in the Christmas spirit. Unlike the malls and other local stores, the city wasn’t a mad house. Shopping was enjoyable. Some stores were crowded but nothing like the insanity of a suburban big box. We walked all of State Street, going in and out of the stores, sipping Starbucks and enjoying the family time.
I didn’t end of scoring anything too amazing. I updated my long-sleeved t-shirts from Old Navy (for $6 each) and I found a pair of pink and blue Asics for only $50! HA both purchases for me, nothing for those on my gift list. Oops.
What did you find this weekend? Any amazing deals that you are still giddy about?
Tip: Shopping should be enjoyable. When it’s a chore you’re likely to be overwhelmed and unsuccessful.
