Do you ever have that item in your closet that you loved maybe a year or two, or more, ago but some how it fell out of favor or got pushed to the back of the closet? That’s what happened with this Paris sweater. I’ve owned it for almost three years now and wore it a ton the first winter I got it. Last year I wore it a few times, but not too often. And then this winter it got squished into the back recesses of my closet, only to be discovered when I was actually searching for my cashmere sweater that I can’t seem to find anywhere. Since I couldn’t find the over-sized sweater I was looking for but did re-discover this one, I figured it was high time I pull it our of hiding and give it another go-round.
Sweater: OASAP
Skirt: Ann Taylor (similar)
Scarf: DSW (similar)
Tights: Target
Boots: ModCloth
It’s size makes it the perfect item to layer over a fitted t-shirt or tank top, in order to provide a little extra warmth during this bitterly cold days. And of course, what outfit these days is complete without a scarf of some sort? Besides scarves and oversized sweater seem very Parisian to me, although I have never been but would love to go.
Here’s how I wore it in 2014 in a very similar style and for a more relaxed weekend look while touring a museum.
Style Tip: Around the middle of the season take the time to pull everything out of your closet and analyze the items that aren’t getting much use. Have you forgotten about the item and still love it? Keep it! Do you hate the item, the way it looks or feels when on? Give it away! Only hang on to the things you love and want to wear.

Yes, I most definitely can relate! It’s funny, one of my all-time favorite sweaters (which also was pushed to the back of my closet for an extended period of time before having a reemergence last winter) is what I call my “Paris sweater.” It doesn’t say Paris, but I found it a thrift store in Paris for 10 euros so it carries all these lovely memories of my time there…le sigh. Love your scarf as well!

That style tip at the end is so on point! I try to evaluate my closet seasonally to make sure that I’m still loving whats in it!
