2. Go in with a list. There are always things I have on my ‘add-to-wardrobe’ list. Right now those include items like cropped denim, leopard-print loafers and grey jeans. I always start by using the search function and seeking out exactly what I am looking for. Anything that stands out I ‘heart’ so it will show up in my list of loves and I can see everything there easily. Also good to think of the season ahead. Soon it will be short-sleeve season; time to wear fun sunglasses again and wedge sandals.
3. Check out the sale. Usually before one of these big sale events, some items get majorly discounted. I take the time to scan through all the new-to-sale items to see if anything jumps out at me. The things I like, that are available in my size, yup, those get a ‘hearting’ too.
4. Go ahead and give it a try. One of the best things about ShopBop is the fact that returns are SOOO simple and easy to accomplish. Just repackage what you aren’t keeping and send it off with the handy return label that was included in the original shipment. No need to figure out postage. No need to go on ShopBop’s site to print a label. It’s all there for you. Easy Peasy. I take advantage of that and order a number of items that I am unsure about. I can try them on in the comfort of my home and see if they work with the things already in my closet. If they aren’t great I can send them back. If they are - bonus! I also order several sizes in the same item, if I’m unsure about the fit.
5. Know the upcoming trends. The best way to update your closet through this sale is to be up on the latest trends, the things everyone will be wearing in the months ahead. That way you’ll already be ahead of the fashion game. Yes, that means doing the research on trends - the pops of floral that will suddenly be everywhere. That might even mean branching out - like trying the denim dresses that are making a big comeback.
