From the moment I saw this button-up maxi dress I was smitten. I grabbed it up in the last Shopbop sale and kept my fingers crossed that it would fit and look as great as I hoped. (You know how online shopping is sometimes a nightmare in terms of proper fit and such.) But when it arrived and I pulled it out of the bag, I was even more in love with the dress than before.

It’s not hard to see this as one of THE trends for Spring/Summer 2016. It seems nearly everyone is sporting a button-down maxi dress in some color or pattern. This one has buttons that stop at the knee and sleeves that can be rolled up for the warmer days. I can’t wait to wear it this summer without the extra layers that are needed now on these 40* and 50* days.
The black and white pattern is going to pair perfect with so many different colors - red, pink, mint, blue, green, etc… I could even see it being paired with a contrasting pattern - like a floral or the right kind of stripe.
Extra bonus, that for my tall frame, this dress was the perfect length to wear with flats. It just brushes the ground, which means I’ll be able to wear it with shorter heeled sandals as well.
Loving this print with the denim jacket. It’s chic but still totally comfortable and versatile.
