Outfits that just click

Do you ever have one of those mornings where you stand in front of your closet, perusing the options, tired of the same old same old when suddenly inspiration strikes? While I try to not wear the same exact outfit twice, or at least not super regularly, sometimes it is hard to come up with continuously new combinations with the same items, especially once it is later in the season and things become a little boring.

Dress: Drew
Tshirt: Old Navy
Vest: Forever21
Boots: ModCloth
Scarf: Burlington
Sunnies: RayBan
Tights: Target
Earrings: Stella and Dot
Watch: La MerWell, the other morning I was standing in front of my closet, bored with everything in there and equally bored with all the looks I had previously created. When inspiration struck and I pulled together this look, which I have to say, I’m loving. The gray t-shirt material sheath dress is one I’ve been trying to winterize this season, since it is usually a spring and summer dress for me. Pair that with a long sleeved gray shirt, made it wintery, but not really that attractive of an outfit. I tried a couple various layered options - cardigans, jackets - but nothing really stood out as a great option. The army green vest, which is a closet staple year round, and the leopard-print scarf helped create a finished and polished look.

Style Tip: Sometimes a great outfit takes a little creativity and some trial and error. Get to mixing and matching and experimenting.
