Last week, the school I work at was working on updating its marketing materials. As part of that, the administration asked a few of us teachers to be photographed with the students we teach. I was one of the lucky teachers. (I haven’t seen the photos yet, hopefully they turned out great.)

Trying to figure out what to wear for the day was tricky. I wanted to wear something that was a little timeless - in case the photos don’t get updated again for another 10 years or so. I wanted to wear something that still looked current and slightly trendy. I also wanted to wear something that wouldn’t clash with the student’s navy polo shirts and green/navy plaid skirts. And lastly, I wanted to wear something that was still very much me for these photos.

After a couple outfit attempts, I opted with this classic navy dress to match the students and then the floral jacket to be more personal and modern. Overall, I think this was a winning outfit for the pictures and one that I will end up using as a go-to spring look.
