It’s officially sweater season and what a better time to stock up on sweaters than the annual ShopBop Thanksgiving-time sale? It’s when the weather finally dips into the 30’s that I really want the warmth and comfort of a sweater. Be it chunky knit, soft cashmere, or patterned cotton, sweaters this time of the year are a must in all shapes, sizes and designs.
From this sale, which started earlier in the week and goes until November 28th, I snagged four sweet sweaters to bulk up the collection of sweaters I already own from ShopBop.
The first thing I grabbed is this fringe-edged sweater with 3/4 sleeves from BB Dakota. I’m seeing it worn with a pair of high-waisted jeans or a pencil skirt, or possibly worn layered over a dress. Before the GOBIG16 discount is applied, the sweater has already marked down by 30% to the reasonable price of $42 - so add up to an additional 25% off and the sweater becomes down-right inexpensive.
Sticking in the same retail family, I grabbed the BB Dakota Parvati Sweater with speckled, two-tone coloring, ribbed edges and long sleeves. I’m seeing this layered with a solid, bold-colored scarf and a simple pair of jeans.
My last BB Dakota sweater, this time around, was the Aries Chenille Cable Sweater. This is without a doubt the softest sweater I’ve ever owned. I literally pulled it out of the box on Wednesday and knew I would be wearing it for Thanksgiving dinner. For that I wore it with jeans and a pink-toned blanket scarf. It was all comfort and chic. The heather grey is already marked 60% off before the sale (costing only$38), while the ivory shade is marked down to 40% off.
The sweater that was a bold, unsure choice for me was this waffle textured hoodie from Madewell. It’s cropped and ivory in color, which can be difficult to wear and style, especially for this pale chic. But I loved the laced-up closure element of it as well as the hoodie and dropped-shoulder look.
