It’s the annual end-of-the-year ShopBop Sale, so it’s the perfect time to stock up on items for you winter wardrobe, knock a couple of gifts off your shopping list, and update your closet with a new trendy piece or two. Personally, I took advantage of the sale this morning to update a couple key elements in my closet - key elements that I noticed were missing as I am in the midst of packing for tomorrow’s big move. (And no, I am nowhere near done packing.)

Each winter season I like to add a sweater or two to my collection. Since Chicago winters are ice cold, a sweater and all the layering elements are essential. I use the sale to add a trendy piece to my current collection. Here are a few I’ve had my eye on:

Boots and Booties.

If you are going for the classic look, it’s never a bad idea to update your basic knee-high black boot, which is what I had to do this year after I walked through my pair last year. Or, if you are going for a more trendy addition to your shoe collection, consider a white bootie or something with some hardware design elements. Leopard Print Everything.

Honestly this is a pattern I wear whether it is in style or not, but this season it is having a moment. So, go ahead. Walk on the wild side and update your closet with leopard print pieces.
