8 Vibrant Lipsticks to Try This Spring

It’s hard to believe just two years ago I never wore lipstick - ever! Now, it’s unusual for me not to have some color swiped across my lips before running out the door, and a handful of options in my purse in case the color fades over the course of the day. Since I’ve been trying new lipsticks during the last year, here are 8 shades of vibrant lipsticks to try this spring - and beyond.

8 Vibrant Lipsticks to Try Now:

#1:: Clove and Hallow Lip Velvet in Napa

This is a purple-pink that is gorgeous on. It’s a bold color and every time I wear it I get comments and compliments. Usually the compliments come from other women and the comments come from men. (A friend’s 4-year-old son said he thought I needed a sweater because my lips were purple.) This lipstick lasts ALL DAY LONG. I can swipe it on in the morning and know it will be in place at the end of the day without the need to reapply. It is my favorite of all the vibrant lipsticks listed here.

#2:: Runway Rogue Matte Lipstick in Selfie

If there was ever a color created to match Barbie’s bold pink heels from my childhood, this would be it. The pink is loud and certainly vibrant. The lipstick has a matte finish and a really bold hue. If you aren’t sure about going this vibrant, I’d recommend toning down your other makeup choices that day and letting your lipstick be the only bold move.

#3:: POP Beauty Permanent Pout in OMG Violet

Another super vibrant deep pink shade. This entire collection of permanent pout lipsticks from POP Beauty is long lasting with a matte finish. I can usually get this to last at least 6-8 hours depending on what I’m doing. For reference, this one is a little brighter than #1 but in that same purple/pink category.

#4:: Revlon Ultra HD Lip Mousse Hyper Matte in Crimson Sky

This is one of the gentlest matte lipsticks I own. While it doesn’t last all day and does need to be reapplied after a meal. If this vibrant lipstick isn’t your jam, Revlon makes this lip mousse in 14 shades that run the spectrum from nude to bold red and everything in between.

#5:: Givenchy Rouge Interdit Marbled Lipstick in Rose Révélateur

This pink and black marbled lipstick might be the smoothest tube of lipstick I own. It swipes on so effortlessly, and gives off a pink color without being too overt. To me, this is a great starter color for someone wanting to experiment with some brighter pinks. Note, this is a limited edition so it may be a little difficult to find.

#6:: Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip in Peony Pink

As the name suggests, this color exudes the essence of bright pink spring flowers. It’s a matte liquid lipstick that lasts for several hours without the need to reapply, although it doesn’t last the whole day for me. I will admit, the applicator brush is a little unique and takes some practice to use correctly.

#7:: Givenchy Le Rouge Chinese Lunar New Year Lipstick in Rouge Egerie

While this tends more toward the bring red spectrum than the pinks I’ve previously listed, this is my new favorite bright red. In the winter I tend toward deeper shades of red that have a much more significant blue tone to them, but this is bright and bold for the Spring months. And, similar to the other Givenchy lipstick, it goes on so smoothly! Note, this is a limited edition lipstick for this year’s Chinese New Year so it won’t be around forever.

#8:: Lancome Matte Shaker Liquid Lipstick in Pink Power

This lipstick is a couple years old, but it is one of my favorites from last Spring, and I’m sure it will get a lot of use again this Spring. The applicator is super unique and really easy to use. The key is to make sure to shake it before applying in order to get the fullness of the color and not a watery version. This pink color is really easy to wear and while vibrant it isn’t as bold as some of the others mentioned.

Am I missing any vibrant lipsticks that you are loving this Spring season? What should I try next? Leave a comment and let me know.
