Homecoming dances might be a over but with the Holiday season nearly upon us and Prom season not too far away, it’s never too early to start looking into formal dresses! But let’s be honest, finding an amazing, one-of-a-kind dress for that special occasion is often a practice in futility. The department stores all carry the same thing and no one wants to look across a crowded room and see three other girls in the same dress. Online shopping and boutique searching are two ways to ensure you’re in a dress that is utterly you. Here’s a summary of a few of my favorite dresses of the season…
Sheath/Column Bateau Floor-length Sleeveless Satin Dress
I’m loving the traditional cut of this gown and the beading detail. The more streamlined design is perfect for those looking for a dress that will slim and lengthen. Plus, it can be ordered in over a dozen different colors. This black, or a red would be perfect for a Christmas party. Grape or fuchsia would be ideal for Prom.
A-line Scoop Short/Mini Sleeveless Satin Lace Dress
This dress is my favorite! The green color… the lace overlay… the two different hemlines. I can see this dress at a formal Christmas party, or the green swapped out for gold or champagne for a New Years Eve party.
A-line Organza Knee-length Bateau Dress
This dress is fun, flirty, and adorably colored. It’s one of the trendy dress designs from the Green Guide’s cocktail dress collection. I love the sheer organza layer that adds flare to the overall design and look of the basic dress. Plus, this color is fab for prom.
A-line Spaghetti Straps Floor-length Sleeveless Organza Dress
To me this dress is the perfect classy, semi-vintage looking dress. Easy to slip on with an empire waist that is flattering on a number of different body shapes. This is one of those prom dresses that never goes out of style and could be worn for a variety of events including a formal winter wedding or a fancy New Years party. too.
What styles are you loving for this holiday season? Are you already looking at Prom dresses? What would you love to wear?
