Try New Trends and then Return them, or Keep Them - Le Tote

With the number of subscription boxes out there these days, it can be hard to pick the one best suited for you and your lifestyle. Le Tote is the option for those who love trying new styles and want the freedom to wear what arrives in the mail and then return it or keep it. No, seriously - Le Tote let’s you wear each of the 5 items that arrive in the box as many times as you want and then you have two choices - keep or return. It’s pretty epic.

The way it works is pretty similar to other fashion subscription offers out there. You begin by filling out a style profile to give Le Tote an idea of who you are and what you love. From there the site cultivates a list of 5 items that will be arriving in your first tote. You can see them in that instant and if you don’t love something you can trade it out for something of your choosing. (I like that option a lot!) The tote arrives within a couple days of you placing the ‘order.’ Then the fun begins.

Dress: Le Tote
Cami: Niki Biki
Shoes: DSW
Bracelet: Le Tote

You get to wear each item - three clothing pieces and two accessories - as many times as you want for as long as you want. When you want something new, you throw all the items you are returning into the pre-labeled shipping bag and drop it off at your local UPS. Easy-peasy. If you want to keep something, you simply pay for that item and don’t stick it in the return package.

The service costs $59 per month, but you can fit in as many returns and new totes as you want. If you are really on top of it, you could wear each item in a week, rock some new looks and return them 7 days later for a new tote. I’m sure you could fit in at least 2 if not three totes in any given month. Or you can be like me and go with about one tote a month, giving you time to try an item in a couple different ways.

To me the thing that stands out about this service above other fashion subscription options is that the freedom to wear every item you received gives you the chance to try new styles or trends that you never would when you are playing it safe or paying for an item you aren’t sure you are going to like. You can wear something a time or two and see how you feel in the item, what others think of it, before you make the commitment to purchase it. That’s pretty awesome, right?!

In my first tote, I got this black and white, hi-lo dress. I liked it and wore it a handful of times in the month I had that tote. But I didn’t love it, so it went back with the other items in the tote. The gold bracelet was one of the accessories. And yes, I wore that a number of times too For the second tote (post to come on that) I got an AMAZING black skirt that will not be going back as well as an awesome fringe purse that I’ve had a lot of fun rocking at summer festivals.
