White is not usually a color I reach for in the mornings. White pants and shorts and skirts just seem to have disaster written all over them - I mean the possibilities of ruining them are endless…. sitting on something, dropping an open Expo marker while writing on the board, brushing up against a dirty wall, anything to do with children and their dirty hands/face/being, a messy meal, a spilled coffee, and the list goes on and one.

And yet, I love white and all the white looks that work perfectly in the warmer weather. This white dress came in one of my Le Tote mailings. It caught me eye as soon as I saw it on the site and I knew I had to add it to my next tote, to give it a try. The lace and slight a-line shape is so flattering and fun. And while it is white, I didn’t feel nervous wearing it all day on the weekend - then again I knew I wasn’t going to be spending much time outside where dirt was a great possibility.
And no, I’m not one of those who believes white cannot be work after Labor Day. Wear white if you want to. Why does a single day signal the end of a certain color if the weather and mood is still there? How long do you wear a white dress during the year?
