Usually, I’m all about dresses in solid colors or very basic patterns but there was something about the bright colors and funky pattern of this dress that caught my eye. When looking at it online, I showed a friend, and she commented on the boldness of the item with a little hesitation about how it would look online. Yes, the colors are bright and the pattern is certainly bold - but I ended up loving this Carolyn dress.
Accessorizing is always tricky with something like this dress. I tried a couple different necklaces but they were too much. I went with some chandelier earrings but that was also a lot going on. In the end, simple seemed to be the best option, with the chunky sandals, subtle accessories, and not much else.
The other thing that concerned me about this dress was the sizing. I’m new to Karina Dresses and wasn’t sure how to determine my size. This frock came in three sizes: S/M, M/L, L/XL. I’m usually a pretty consistent medium, so decided between the S/M and the M/L was difficult. I ended up opting for the S/M and I’m glad I did. The dress fit perfectly and fell to a great knee-length. The next size up would have likely been overly large especially in the bust.
