This time of the year there are no shortage of parties to be attended and no shortage of appetizers to make and eat. With so many available options, it can be hard to weed through the various recipes. No need to sift through Pinterest to find a great meaty appetizer. Johnsonville has pre-cooked meatballs that will make party hosting, or dish sharing simple.
For the latest party, I used these to make a delicious meatball dish in the crockpot. And it was a huge hit with everyone in attendance.
Sweet and Savory Meatballs
- 1 package of Johnsonville meatballs
- 1 cup of chili sauce
- 1 cup of cranberry sauce
- 1 cup of bbq sauce
- 1 cup of jelly (flavor of your choice, I prefer grape)
In the crockpot, mix all the ingredients together, making sure the meatballs are well coated. Cook at medium temperature until all the meatballs are warm. They are already pre-cooked, so no need to worry about them being raw. You just need to warm them. I kept the meatballs in the crockpot during the party so they would stay warm and ready for everyone.
There are about 30 meatballs in a package, so plan accordingly. I actually used two packages in order to make sure my party for 25 had enough meatballs to go around.
How do you like to serve meatballs for a cocktail party? Do you have a favorite recipe?

These meatballs sound so yummy! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I love meatballs but the one year I tried to do the premade ones for my annual Christmas party they hardly got touched! These look good. I’ll have to give them a try.
