I grabbed this dress at Target weeks and weeks ago and have worn it several times, since then but haven’t had a chance to post about it. Alas, life seems even busier in the summer, even when there is no school to be focused on.

I’ve said it before, but I love a clothing item that can pull double duty - working in multiple manners. I’ve worn a sweater as a scarf. Or a dress as a skirt. And now this button-down dress as both a dress (as obviously intended) and as a vest. Plus, it works well both dressed up with a skirt or dress or dressed down with a pair of cropped denim.

At first trying to wear this as a vest was a little disastrous since there seemed to be too much material for it not to be buttoned up. But by taking the belt and tying it behind my back, it cinched in the material making it look more fitted. Taking this dress to vest was easy peasy after that.
