Ankle-length denim, two ways (and a giveaway)

One of my favorite newer trends is ankle-length pants. And while I don’t tend to wear a lot of pants, this pair of jeans are a new favorite. They are ankle-length and have a little zip-up side seam. I’ll be getting a lot of use out of these in the weeks to come.

While the weather here in Chicago is still cold. Heck, I’m writing this while the snow continues to fall out my window - no joke. Yes, it is April and we still have snow. Seriously! At some point it will get warm and I can start wearing these with cute sandals and open-toed shoes and short sleeves. But until then, it is long sleeves and sweaters and layers and such.

The key to dressing for this time of the year in Chicago is outfits that appear half-winter and half-summer. So cropped denim and heels - a summer look - with the long sleeved sweater - a summer look. The black sweater works better for the really cold days, and the light mint green sweater is perfect for those days when the sun is shining and the weather is warming up, slightly.

To get us through this cold April… a little giveaway for all of you. Just use the Rafflecopter to enter.

Love the heels & the mint sweater. For some reason, buried deep in my mind, I get cold shivers when I think about wearing ankle-length pants: an entirely visceral response. Weird! That being said, I am rather jealous, because you are rocking them.
