One of the things I like doing is mixing patterns and colors that might not normally be linked. When you can mix both it’s even better - or at least more of an adventure. This green pencil skirt has quickly become a cold-weather favorite. It brightens the gray, cold, never-ending days and is easy to wear with layers, which is SO highly needed right now. (Honestly, these nine degree days are killing me! I don’t remember a winter that has been this consistently cold and gray for so many days in a row.)

This striped blazer was an outfit staple all of last fall and winter, but it has sadly sat in the back of my closet most of this year. I find it interesting how some years you can love an item and just a few months later it has lost its attraction. I still love the piece. Probably I just need to commit to wearing it more often, finding new clothing combinations.

    Two things:

Those boots are perfection!! Exactly the thing I am looking for…….

Your style is almost exactly what I want mine to be - we seem to have similar taste in colours, cuts, lengths and styles (cord pants excepted). I tend to avoid prints, and and don’t wear a lot of jewellery, but there aren’t any outfits you have posted, that I haven’t said “I want that - minus the jewellery”. Who knows, you may yet inspire me to wear a print near my face!

Thanks Rosie - Maybe we should do a clothing swap sometime. Ha! And you should take the leap into patterns. They really are not as scary as they may seem. I promise.
